Blonde Creative & Alamo Crossfit get Back to Back Pukies

Every year around this time, the Crosssfit community comes together for a one day event to raise funds for various charities. At the event, each athlete is challenged to complete a 3 round WOD ( Work Out of the Day ). Each round consist of 5 stations and the athlete spends 1 min at each station completing as many reps as possible. The event raises millions of dollars every year.

Each participating gym is also challenged to create a video chronicling the event. Gyms around the globe participate and at the end of it all, 1 video is chosen as the best video of the year. The winning video is awarded the prestigious best video trophy aptly named "The Pukie"! Blonde Creative and Alamo Crossfit are proud to have won the Pukie for the second consecutive year. Louis Cardenas, creative director and spokes person for blonde creative, San Antonio's premier design boutique, preemptively announced today in front of a crowd of nearly 500,00o women, that he was very pleased to announce that blonde creative's esteemed employee of the year was Louis Cardenas! Mr. Cardenas went on to say that Louis Cardenas had reigned as employee of the month an unprecedented 12 times this year tying his record for the 3 previous years.

"Our employee of the Month receives a few perks!" Louis shouted to the cheering crowd. He then listed the perks which included a private parking spot next to the front door, lunch delivered to him at his desk at least 4 times per week and his own private restroom. He even gets to take the trash home almost every week! After a nearly 11 hour congratulatory speech, Mr. Cardenas even took time to applaud the runner up Jacob Resendez (pictured below). On September 25th, the b boys participated in an event called Fight Gone Bad, hosted by our bad ass gym - Alamo Crosfit.

This fundraiser was to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project, Live Strong and the Crossfit Foundation. Alamo Crossfit raised close to $30,000 which proves they are one of the strongest Crossfit locations around.

As part of the event we created a video about the experience and the causes it help. We submitted the video to the FGB Pukies. The "Pukie" is the award given to the best video about the FGB5 event. The blondes in typical fashion stoled the gold. Please watch the video and let us know what you think.

The b boys have thrown their directorial hat into another film competition.

On September 25th 2010 the b boys had the privilege of not only documenting, but competing in Fight Gone Bad 5.

Fight Gone Bad began as a fundraising event in 2006. From those humble beginnings and with the support of the CrossFit community, it has proven what a small, totally committed group of people can accomplish. The first four editions of Fight Gone Bad have raised a combined total of more than $2 million.

Fight Gone Bad 5 opened its arms to benefit three charities this year: LIVESTRONG, Wounded Warrior Project and the CrossFit Foundation.

During the event groups were asked to document the event and compose a video that they could submit to be eligible for consideration in the 2010 Pukie Awards. the following is a link to our submission. The blondes have wrapped up filming for their latest broadcast project for Rosenberg Indoor Comfort. It's always a pleasure to team up with clients who make our job so much easier than it should be. We are eager to begin post-production and can not wait see the finished products!

Boxing with Time Warner

As you are all aware, two of the three blondes are ex professional boxers. the two Blondes in question combine for a total of 7 heavyweight championships, 4 welterweight championships and 1 women's feather weight championship. So on the night of February 27th they were in attendance for the 2010 San Antonio Golden Gloves Tournament. Some of you may be under the impression that we were there for the FREE Drinks and Ring GIRLS but you would be wrong-ish.

The Blondes were there to support long time friend and one of the most influential people we know, Gavino Ramos "Vice President of Something" at Time Warner Cable. Gavino was to defend his title against Drago, a legendary Russian Super Boxer who can not feel pain. Turns out he was there to present throphies to a couple other legitimate boxers.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, the evening was a success. The Blondes witnessed many very talented boxers and countless exciting fights with Ring Girls in tennis shoes (really tennis shoes). Thanks to all the boxers and to Time Warner for involving us in the event.

b boys premier their second film "vocali7e"

Last night, the b boys unveiled their latest film, vocali7e , at the 2009 SA48HR Film Experience.

At 7:00 on Friday the Dec. 4th each team randomly drew a genre, character, line of dialog and a location, all of which must used in the film. The b boys only used 47 hours 59 minutes and 55 seconds to enter their film. Thanks to everyone who helped with the making of this film and to everyone that came out to support the film last night at the premier. You can watch the film below. We hope you all will enjoy it. The blondes, in an attempt to quite the creative voices in their heads that wont stop talking and refuse to stop begging for a creative release, have ventured into the boy band biz. Thats right the blonde boy band biz. That is a lot of "b" words all back to back. Doesn't make sense right? To make things easier on what the band feels will be a primarily (hot) female audience they decided to name the band "The New Kids on the Block".

The blondes (NKOTB) intend to capitalize on their ferocious good looks and awe inspiring vocal prowess to insure the bands success. The first single (listen to the track below) released at #1 on the billboard charts and is still climbing. Tour dates are being set and negotiations with a local mall are underway to accommodate the audience which experts anticipate will grow to as many as 1 million attendees.

The album drops on december 25th to coincide with the birth of little baby jesus and will also be available on itunes. Get yours quickly as retailers will have difficultly keeping them in stock.

OLVIDAR!!! our 48 hour film project...

the blondes had a successful screening of "olvidar" last night at the San Antonio 48 Hour Film Project. what a turnout!!! it was great to see all the support for everyone involved in this project. it's an achievement all in its own to actually complete the 48 hr project, but to be able to share the film with hundreds is absolutely awesome. there were plenty of great films, but the blondes are hoping to get a shot at the Best of Show screening next week. but for now, sit back and enjoy 1st ever film project by the blondes (and probably the 1st ever film shot entirely on the iPhone 3GS), "Olvidar".

SPECIAL THANKS to Michael Druck and the 48 Hour Film Project, Drew Mayer-Oakes and the San Antonio Film Commission, Pam Cardenas (for the craft services)and Missy French (for putting up with us). The boys from blonde are up to it again. Somehow we made it in to the The San Antonio 48 Hour Film Project. Filmmakers from all over the San Antonio area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world.

If you know the blonde boys, then you know that what ever we do will be unexpected. Additionaly a bikini contest will be held at an undisclosed location (rik's house) to determine the leading lady.

The screenings will be held at Alamo Draft House on Wednesday, August 19th. Everyone that supports the b-boys gets a big hug from louis. Here is a link to the projects website. Go there and get some info and tell everyone the blondes sent you.

The truck's driver made her pull over into a parking lot and get out of the car.

He took a piece of chalk and drew a circle on the pavement. He told her to stand in the middle and not leave the circle.

Furious, he went over to her car and slashed the tires.

The blonde started laughing.

This made the man angrier so he smashed her windshield.

This time the blonde laughed even harder.

Livid, the man broke all her windows and keyed her car.

The blonde is now laughing hysterically, so the truck driver asks her what's so funny.

What is this 2d code you ask?

Well in a nutshell, a 2d code is another way to encode information just like the more popular barcode. However, the 2d code is grid of square cells that are capable of storing more information and more character types all in a smaller space.

The 2d code has been very successful in Japan for a couple of years now and will continue to be due to its convenience. That's right, I said convenience. 2d code is easily readable by your mobile camera phone with the help of some encoding software that transfers data to your web browser. Simply snap a picture of any 2d code (preferably the one on your left) and sit back and enjoy the ride.
